I
say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who
repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Likewise,
I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner
who repents.”
But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is
yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was
dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”
Our Father desires each and
every single one of His children to repent and come to Him.
Our Saviour in this
chapter drives that home.
We are treasured and valued by
our Father.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
Whosoever believes will not
perish, they will have eternal life with Him.
