Knowledge and Understanding

Happy is the man who finds wisdom; and the man who gains understanding. Get wisdom; and get understanding. In reading and studying the Word; we get to know and understand the Father's GRACE. Our Lord desires for us to know Him and He wants to know us.

Thus says the Lord:
That I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

a life to be lived by faith (Romans 1)

The good news of Jesus Christ is more than facts to be believed; it is also a life to be lived—a life of righteousness befitting the person, “justified freely by grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Today we start on a journey through the letter to the Romans, the above extract is from Romans3
Faith in our Lord we are to live, enjoy and celebrate.
As we journey to understand and value our Lord’s we get a chance to celebrate His sacrifice and gift.

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

As followers of our Lord and gospel-carriers we are separated to carry our Lord’s goodnews (gospel) to all those around us. We choose to be bondservants because there is no other acceptable response for only through our Lord do we have the privilege of grace.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

In our Lord we live and through His Word can we have hope and make sense of the world we live in.
This letter was written to unite the Jews and the Greeks, no matter the race we are all called to live by faith. We have no other way to live, for when we live in faith we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives and through our lives.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

The last part of Romans 1 talks to those who have chosen to reject the gospel.

As always please read the entire chapter for yourselves for to know the Father and His Son you can never depend on second hand information. Listen to the tone and confidence in Paul’s writing that is not second hand faith.
