“The
kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,
and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and
they were not willing to come.
“ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and
great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as
yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
In this chapter our Lord deals the invitation to
the kingdom, taxes (no excuse), resurrection(our God is not of the dead), His
Lordship(David calls Him Lord?) and a heart committed to the Father.
Two portions I have chosen for us to dwell on.
All human kind is invited, each and every single one
who walks on this earth gets the chance to choose Kingdom or not.
This reminds of the scripture that our Father can
raise up stones to praise Him if we will not.
We the ones made into His image have the
invitation and we don’t have to be perfect and we are welcomed with open arms.
Love the Father and submit all you are and have to
His Lordship and love all around in His name.
