Seek First
A friend during Lifegroup commented on how only the Father can satisfy us. But we seek too many things instead. We sometimes get these things but they still are not enough, for we are trying to fill what only God can fill.
Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. I thought we might take time to consider the attributes of righteousness.
Righteousness is wholly owned and belongs to our Father, it glorifies and pleases Him,
it is a testimony of our God in us,
we can only get it through our Lord’s sacrifice for us,
and the Spirit at work in us produces righteousness in us.

As we consider righteousness we realise that all the work is done on our behalf.
So then what is asked of us, but to put God first, prioritise Him, pursue Him and His way of doing, thinking, and living.

Let the Father and His Word define your existence just as our Lord (our example) did and our Father promises that all these things will be added unto you.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.
