strength of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to
stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic
powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly places.
In all circumstances take up the shield of
faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and
take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of

Our
journey of becoming more and more like our King, has an enemy. The message of
hope we carry in the gospel has an enemy. BUT we have been provided for as we
have read in this chapter. We have been given our weapons of warfare. Prayer is
part of that armour, we are called to pray with the help of the Spirit of God
in all circumstances and all kinds of prayers. Let prayer be the first and last
things you do in your day. May our Lord continue to equip and enable through
His spirit and in His Word.
