Walk in Love

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Walking in Love once again our Lord is our guide and example to walking in Love. He came and humbled Himself in love, He walked and loved all equally but He loved in service to the Father who sent Him.

The Father so loved the world that He sent His son. I believe that Jesus so loved the world that He sent His disciples that His good news would not just end with his generation or the area He lived in. We who have received that gift of Love from the Father also have been given as a gift of Gods love to those who have not received it yet but we are also sent to be a gift of love to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Let 2017 be the year we become the testimony of the Love we have received.

Walk in the Light

Walk in the Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose it".

If we are to walk in the Light we have one person to guide us Jesus. His Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Christ's life and ministry is our example of Light. In Him was life and the life was the light to all men. I dont believe we can walk in the Light that is our Lord if His written Word is not also guide.

In the passage quoted above we are also called the light in the Lord. For all those out there, in our families and the communities we live and work in, Jesus has chosen us to represent His light.

Let's choose in 2017 to practice being the Light our Lord so graciously calls us.
